Why Andy Kaufman abandoned his Hollywood lifestyle to become a professional wrestler remains a mystery even today. Friends Marliu Henner and Tony Danza recall it was impossible to tell whether it was all an act or true obsession. One thing for sure: wrestling dragged Andy into an abyss he was unable to climb out of. Initially, Kaufman wrestled women only, but that would change one fateful day in Memphis, Tennessee. Andy made bizarre videos, put out a $5,000 bounty on Lawler's head, and even went on national TV to tell his dark tale.
